Rebejoo products are finished by light polishing to bring out
highlights, and sharp edges are filed off, though the aim is for an
industrial, handmade feel - hence, they are not treated beyond this
point. They are pretty robust and I take a lot of care over them, but
they are still jewellery, so I recommend avoiding the urge to use them
to bang in nails, fix your car, open beer bottles or whatever,
especially the ones made with fine springs and wires.
If something has
gone wrong that's clearly my fault (e.g. something breaks during normal
wear) within 6 months of purchase, I'll sort it out - but if an item has
been mistreated, pulled, snagged, trodden on, lost etc, I will tut and
say 'silly' :) However, I expect them to last a long time - I'd like you
to come and buy more because they are splendid, not because they
disintengrate the day after the guarantee runs out!
Also, don't forget
that they are largely steel, so may develop a patina, especially if in
contact with skin or salt water (which can cause rust). If this happens,
don't worry, it's quite normal - just rub the affected areas with a
light abrasive (e.g. emery paper) - it'll come up right lovely - and if
you have any questions about any of this, please do ask :)
